Knitting by the Mile

I noticed that several knitters on Ravelry have a widget that keeps track of their knitting yardage.  Soooo, being unable to resist, I went on , entered all the projects I have completed in 2012 and it totalled up to 10, 418 yards.  That is almost six miles!  9.5 kilometres!  If I weren't so busy knitting I could take a strand of yarn on a two hour walk.  I could climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower and back down again 16 times.  I'm exhausted just thinking about it so I'd better sit down...  and knit

The Blues

I seem to have been on a bit of a blue kick with my knitting lately ~~

Woodland Spring Shawl (for a dear friend who is going through a very tough time)

Garden cardi (which I have worn practically every day since finishing)

I live quite near to a military base and every year at this time the Snowbirds come for two weeks of practice.  Although I feel our military dollars could be spent on better things I can't help but admire the beauty of the planes and the skill of the pilots.  These photos were taken from my backyard.

~doesn't this look like a swan embracing the trees?~
